Kelly Siegler should not be elected DA, in Harris County, because she is no better than Chuck Rosenthal. She made the following comment last year after being challenged that her effort to strike the potential juror was based on his skin color.
“To start with, he's a member of Lakewood Church. And we have had a running agreement, my partner Luci Davidson and I have, since we started, that people who go to Lakewood are screwballs and nuts," Siegler is reported as saying in a court transcript. “I'm very familiar with that church. We try our hardest not to put anybody who goes to Lakewood regularly on any jury, he is a pretty devout member of Lakewood Church. That’s one reason that scared me about the man.”
It appears that she is a total flake.

This is the just the tip of the iceberg. Look closer and you will find so much more that Siegler has done that is questionable at best. She think that a fair trial means paying inmates to testify against defendants and promising other inmates letters if recommendations from the DAs office in exchange for a coerced testimony. What do you think an inmate is going to say for special favors!
Now if we could just get her out of the office for good!
